The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops

Noah Pinsonnault is a product review analyst for the Home Care and Cleaning Lab at Good Housekeeping.

good robot vacuum  tests and evaluates cleaning equipment. His main focus is mopping and robot vacuum combinations. Multitaskers are a great choice for those who want to get mopping off their to-do list. Some have great navigation and obstacles avoidance. Some even wash and refill mopping pads themselves to ensure a hands-free clean.

The Eufy S1 Pro

If you're looking for a robot vacuum that also mop, this is the model to go for. It's smaller than the other options on this list making it easier to navigate through tight corners and under furniture. It uses a 220 degree lidar, which when combined with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it the best navigation and obstacle avoidance I've ever seen in a robot vacuum. It's powered by a 4600mAh battery that can last up to 170 minutes when mopping and sucking is set to standard mode. (It can run longer when it is set to turbo). It will even return to the dock to replenish its battery halfway through a clean.

It's efficient and does a great job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums carpeted rooms quickly and hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room and hallways with only one sweep.  best robot hoover  of 8,000pa will quickly pick up dirt, crumbs and pet hair. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it comes in contact with carpets and the dual side brushes help pull away debris from corners.

The mopping efficiency, while still impressive, is not as good. The mop's rotating motor spins at a high rate and it pushes down with 2.2lbs of force, easily scrubbing up dirt and staining. I've also noticed that the front arms extend out slightly more than other robots, which is helpful to maneuver around tight corners and along baseboards. The front arms can also be used to scoop up larger debris like broken toys and books.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mops and vacuums I've used. It doesn't make as loud of a sound when mopping or vacuuming and is quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The only downside is that the S1 Pro must use a proprietary cleaning solution for mopping, and is separate from the vacuum. It's simple to install and performs well however, this is something that you'll need to keep an eye on if you're buying this robot vacuum for the sole purpose of it mopping.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo is different from other robot vacuums in its class. It comes with a wide array of features that make it a great choice for homeowners looking to purchase an extremely efficient, flexible, and customizable cleaning machine.

The device comes with an impressive and powerful cleaning system that integrates LiDAR sensors with an RGB camera to map the home and locate furniture and other obstacles. This information can be used to clean intelligently and efficiently. This leads to an effective, consistent cleaning that is also quite fast.

In terms of mopping, Q Revo's DuoRoller mop pads can reach a wide range of surfaces. This includes baseboards, corners and other difficult to reach spots. They also have a flexible side brush that can extend to reach the floor close to walls and other fixtures. In addition the mop pads can be cleaned and dried to prevent the build-up of dust and reduce odors.

App-based customization is a different interesting feature. The Q Revo allows you to adjust the intensity of its suction and select between a back-andforth, or a more random patterns. You can also select the number of passes which determines how fast it can move around your home. You can also decide to disable the side brush to prevent damaging carpets and rugs.

This device is expensive however it has many useful features. It is important to remember, however, that the device is subject to periodic costs in the form of mopping supplies and regular maintenance. For instance the brushroll needs to be replaced after 300 hours or every six to 12 months. The filter will need to be cleaned after 150 hours and the mop pad must be replaced every three to six months.

This robot vacuum mop has a high Amazon rating and includes many physical automation features. It has an energy button that serves as a general "Clean' button and a 'Home button that sends it back to its base station after finishing its cleaning session. It also has a multifunctional dock that automatically empties the dustbin and refills its water tank for mopping and washes and dry its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus

If you're a professional with a lot of work or someone who wants to have a clean home without spending hours doing chores, the Shark Matrix Plus is a excellent choice. It has powerful performance, intelligent navigation, and a long battery life that allows you to keep your home clean with little effort.

The Matrix Plus is a 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mop, which means it can handle both vacuuming and mopping. The robot is divided into two modules which include a dry bin and water tank that can be easily snapped in and out and a mopping unit that has an elastomer pad. Separate modules for vacuuming and mopping might seem a bit outdated however, they mean you don't have to think about changing bags for disposables or refilling the tank with water.

The Matrix Plus performed well at both vacuuming as well as mopping. Its best feature was its precise map of your floorplan which it uses to draw an outline for cleaning. This made it a breeze for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture carpets, rugs, and other obstacles. The app also gives you the option to set "No-Go zones" as well as virtual barriers that help to shield certain areas of your home from being scrubbed with a mop.

We also noticed that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well in picking up hair from pets. It was able to collect a lot of the hair our cats shed, and even got into some of the nooks and crannies on our stairs where other robots have struggled. The noise levels of the robot were low, and there were some nice jingles to let you know that it was in the process of finishing its work.

The biggest flaws were its simple app and the need to swap between the modules to switch between vacuuming and mopping. The app is not able to store multiple maps. This could be a problem if your home has multiple floors. The Matrix Plus robot is a excellent choice for those who want a smart device that can mop and vacuum.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robot vacuum that mops in our review, however it comes with some distinctive features that are worth taking into consideration. The X1 Omni is most well-known for its huge dock that doubles as a charging base for the robot, a cleaning sink and two 4-liter water tanks. It also houses two bins: a 2.5-liter dust bin as well as a 2.5 dust bin that is 2.5 liters.

The base also comes with a set of buttons to control the system. These allow you to start a cleaning job or recall the robot or start the dock's auto-emptying process. Hold down two buttons to toggle the child lock that is a great feature for parents who are worried about children playing with the vacuum.

Like other robotic vacuums the X1 Omni uses its camera to detect furniture and obstacles in its path and eliminate them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system will map your home 10 times faster than standard laser detection systems and is four times more accurate in finding objects.

Unfortunately, this means that the X1 Omni will sometimes get so entangled with obstacles, like an electrical cord dangling across a rug that it becomes stuck and stops working until you manually free it. This was a rare incident, but frustrating nonetheless, since the X1 does not have an "stuck status" alert on its app.

The X1 Omni isn't able to automatically switch between mopping and vacuuming mode during a cleaning session. You'll need to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't too bad but mopping pads don't get cleaned or dried between uses. This can lead to mildew and mold.

The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who designed its sleek modern base and mopping pad. It's a big contrast to the basic black bases of rivals like Roborock or iRobot. And it's a welcome sight for an industry dominated by boxes.
